Canadian director extraordinaire David Cronenberg's classic psycho-erotic masterpiece Crash (1996) never ceases to serve up the kind of psychologically charged sexuality that one usually only experiences in dreams. Surreal, irreverent, beautifully filmed, deeply disturbing, psychologically potent. All of these words serve well to describe the finely honed erotica that is Crash. Cars become organic creatures, women are not only objects of desire but truly become vehicles for desire. Homo erotica, bondage, a morbid fascination with sex and death and all so beautifully filmed. Attention to fine detail and extraordinarily well-acted. Because there is a strong sexual content this film definitely reads as soft-porn but never in porn will you find such breathtaking performances by such a stunning array of talented actors and actresses. Also noteworthy Howard Shore's mesmerizing soundtrack. Crash is one of Sasha's favourites. Always good late, late at night or very early in the morning…………  Care to go for a ride?
